Face Mask Tips

It’s no surprise face coverings are becoming mandatory across the nation, and required to enter many buildings. From the San Francisco Bay Area, LA the rest of California and states beyond; everyone is covering up whether they like it or not. Here are some helpful Do’s and Don’ts that I hope are able to add some clarity.

Please Do:

-Understand and follow your local Laws and understand where masks are required.

-when shopping for masks, your primary concern is what fabric is it made of?

-Do sanitize by regularly washing your mask in between wearing.

-Buy 2 or more and rotate within wearings.

-Add a coffee filter or cut up Hepa bags if your mask has room for inserts.

-The CDC states masks are NOT a substitute but in addition to social distancing.

-wear a tie on vs. elastic if you are having sizing or fit issues.

-Spread tightly across face once.

-Support tailor shops and clothing companies making masks.

-Buy 100% cotton or natural fiber masks. silk, cashmere, linen or variations is great.

-select layered masks, 3-ply preferred.

Add the words ‘Do not’ before these statements:

-Wear any polyester masks.

-Wear when alone or driving.

-wear N-95’s, leave for healthcare professionals.

-wear when damp.

-leave your nose exposed.

Exercise with a mask.

-put style, color or logo over the fabric used.
